Studies Show Eminem's Music Appeals To Psycopaths (Article)

Recently, a New York University psychology professor Pascal Wallisch and NYU graduate Nicole Leal conducted a new study to determine what ,music resonates with psychopaths, according to The Washington Post.

Perhaps it’s Eminem’s penchant for violent lyrics and apathetic attitude, but it turns out, Shady’s 2002 hit “Lose Yourself” scored high on the psychopath test. More than 190 NYU psychology students participated in the study and were given questions that determined various levels of psychopathy.

The students had been asked to listen to a several different types of songs — from classical to current Billboard Hot 100 hits — and to rate them on a seven-point scale. Other songs scoring high on the psychopath test were Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” and Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean.”
